# Tip 3: Capability modeling
Get an overview of the state and health of your organization by using the QualiWare Business Capability Model.
Capabilities
Any business or organization needs to know its strengths, how close you are to a goal, and which processes, systems, etc., support the areas you wish to improve.
QualiWare calls these an organization’s capabilities.
With the QualiWare Business Capability Model you can describe capabilities, including rating them in accordance to importance, actual performance, and performance goals.
Colors show status and importance
The capability models can be broken down into a hierarchy, and for each level you can make it visible how the capabilities are supported by processes, systems, etc.
In a Business Capability Model each capability can be rated, in accordance with a whole set of criterias. The colors green, yellow, or red show the status of the ratings.
The stripe on the left side represents the Business Importance and two dots represent Business Maturity and Target Maturity.
With a single click, you will be able to see which processes, systems, etc. need to be changed to improve the performance of the specific capability area.
You can also easily update and analyse the capabilities and their relationships using the standard views on the web.

The Delivered By view, enables you to easily analyze and modify relationships between capabilities and initiatives, processes, applications and information-objects in the repository:
