In recent times, QualiWare has been actively integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its product suite to help users enhance their overall user experience. However, as AI becomes more embedded into our daily lives, questions around privacy naturally arise. Users often ask:
• What data does the AI have access to?
• What model does the request get sent to?
• Where is this model hosted?
From the very beginning, QualiWare has prioritized addressing these concerns by implementing robust solutions to ensure customer data is kept safe and users retain control over what data is shared.
What Data Does the AI Have Access To?
The data accessible to the AI is determined by what the user provides. This includes:
1.User Input: Any text directly entered into the AI prompt by the user.
2.Contextual Data: Optional context objects specifically selected by the user. While these are not mandatory, they can enhance the AI’s effectiveness.
Specific details about the data retrieved from context objects are documented within diagrams where the data is clearly visualized. These diagrams provide a visual overview of the data being accessed from your repository, allowing for:
• Easy editing of what data is made available.
• Real-time updates to the AI based on these edits.
This ensures users have complete visibility and control over what data the AI accesses.
What Model Does the Request Get Sent To? Where Is It Hosted?
QualiWare gives users the flexibility to choose the AI model that best meets their privacy and performance needs. The current supported models include:
• OpenAI Models (ChatGPT)
• Azure OpenAI Models (Co-Pilot)
• DeepSeek Models
These models can be hosted in various ways, including:
1. By Microsoft (for Azure OpenAI models).
2. By OpenAI (for OpenAI-hosted models).
3. By DeepSeek (for the DeepSeek models).
4. Locally: Users can opt to host the model on their own infrastructure for maximum privacy.
Since users have full control over the model selection and hosting environment, privacy considerations are ultimately governed by the model providers and configurations chosen by the user. Whether opting for a cloud-hosted model or deploying one locally, users can align AI usage with their specific privacy and compliance requirements.
Note: QualiWare does not use user data for training purposes unless the administrator explicitly selects a model that permits it. Data handling practices are defined by the model provider and hosting setup chosen by the user.
Privacy Policies of AI Model Providers
Since privacy considerations are governed by the selected model and hosting provider, we encourage users to review the respective privacy policies:
Repository-Specific Privacy
Each repository is handled independently, allowing users to:
• Assign different models to different repositories.
• Implement varying levels of privacy across repositories based on specific needs.
This repository-specific approach empowers users with enhanced agency, ensuring that their data privacy preferences are met without compromise.
QualiWare remains committed to maintaining user trust by offering AI solutions that are both powerful and secure. By giving users control over their data and model hosting, we ensure that privacy is never an afterthought but a core part of our AI strategy.
